My brother Timmy made a bowl for my birthday using walnut that was our great grandfather’s, Oliver Houston Herrell. It is just beautiful and so special. I love it! He even made a lid for it that fits perfectly.
The ‘cutting table’ I use for my sewing projects is really an old wooden desk that Houston made. I guess that’s where Timmy got his talent from. I think I’ll keep the bowl there and store some sewing supplies in it, not pins or anything that would scratch it, maybe buttons. I’m sure it will make me smile every time I am sewing.
Thank you Timmy!
