Ritzy Thimble Quilt Guild hosted a class with Sue Jones teaching the Big EZ quilt. Here’s the different versions in various states of completeness from class. I love to see all the different fabric choices and what a big difference it makes in the look of the quilt.
Here is what the Big EZ quilt looks like finished, these are Sue’s. The black and white one is made of fabric she purchased in Europe.
There wasn’t enough time to complete the top in class (contrary to what the title would lead you to believe) Some of the ladies finished in time for show and tell at the January Ritzy Thimble Guild meeting which was 3 days later.
Mine was made with yellows, greys and blacks (the favorite colors of a favorite relative of mine) as a surprise. I don’t think she reads this blog but in case SURPRISE! I’m sending it off to long armer Michelle.
If you are interested in taking the class, Sue is teaching it at Pappy’s Quilting in Maryville on May 16th, 2015. http://www.pappysquilting.com/
